"Lindsay has a naturally fresh looking face, so I worked with soft, feminine tones to bring out her natural radiance. The key to this look is a mixture of peach and pink blush." To achieve a sweet, ethereal effect, Janine applies peach to the apples of the cheeks with a splash of pink in the middle. She blends the tones together, using more pink near the high point of the cheekbone.

To achieve the correct color match for foundation, Janine always examines the skin color of the jaw. "This is wear the makeup and non-makeup areas meet, so you want to closely match your makeup with the flesh tone in this region."

On Lindsay’s eyes Janine uses a medium application of shadow in hues of peach and brown, accented by earth tones. "These shades usually work best on brides, because they are very natural." On the brows, Janine creates a classic arch using a grey-brown taupe powder. "Regular brown powder often tends to turn orange on brows, so generally you want to avoid it."

To finish the look, she applies peach to the lips, followed by an overcoat of Mac Lip Glass for extra shine. "Overall, these shades work well with feminine gowns made of light and airy materials like chiffon and silk."

Since Lindsay has a long neck and nice head shape, Janine decides to slick down her fine hair with a combination of gel and Kiehl’s Silk Groom. "This style is simple to achieve, yet it’s very sophisticated." With over 10 years experience in the field, Janine mentions that patience is key to success. "I try to have a calming affect on brides by always using positive language. After all, this is happy occasion, not a time for stress."
