Sophisticated & Playful

“There are a couple of factors to consider when deciding upon your overall beauty look,” says Lilly Rivera of BridalGal. Keep in mind your skin tone, your features, and who you are! Whether you want to be natural, glamourous, or artsy, the look should reflect you.

“Over the course of planning your wedding, your skin can begin to show signs of stress. Taking care of it with proper skin care regimens, facials, and an occasional massage will allow you to feel and look radiant on your wedding day.

“Your wedding day makeup should look clean, natural, flawless, and should be durable without looking heavy nor overdone,” says Lilly. “A bride should look as beautiful in person as she does in her photos.”

Lilly's emphasis is on a naturally flawless look. For such a flawless, smudge, and shine resistant look, Lilly uses Airbrush makeup on Michelle. "It's a technique previously used on celebrities for film and television. It's practically undetectable to the eye, and gives the skin a flawless and radiant look. A small amount of foundation, designed specifically for the airbrush, is sprayed and applied in a circular motion. This oil-free, non-comedogenic foundation is gentle even on the most sensitive skin,” says Lilly.

“Using the Airbrush technique allows your makeup to hold up magnificently under wet or humid conditions. There are no drawbacks. You’ll have a great complexion with photographic perfection.”

On Michelle’s eyes and lips, Lilly uses warm peachy and golden tones for a radiant look. She begins by reshaping and grooming the eyebrows. Beige base shadow and a hint of glimmer in the inner corner of the eyelid are applied, while a neutral warm brown is used on the outer corners to lift and define the crease.

“To give the eyelashes extra lift, I use a heated lash curler, and waterproof mascara,” says Lilly. Next, a peachy golden blush is applied to the cheeks. She uses a neutral lip liner to define the lip line and completes Michelle’s lips with a glistening peach lipstick.

Petra, BridalGal’s hairstylist, of Salon 56, in NYC, chose a sophisticated, clean updo to accentuate Michelle’s features, and represent her young, elegant style.
