We always enjoy hearing about new suppliers or especially responsive bridal professionals. Tell us about any you want to single out for praise.

On the other hand, what if you've followed the expert advice we've assembled on this site and in our magazine, and are still experiencing difficulties? We hope that's not the case, but if so, contact us.

It has come to our attention that the following bridal suppliers are in the habit of signing contracts and not living up to their agreements. They then make further commitments which they do not meet. Subsequent phone calls, letters, and e-mails over the course of months are not answered.

We suggest that you proceed with caution if you are considering hiring them.

At the current time, we have received so many calls and e-mails concerning one of these vendors in particular that we are choosing to include only that one supplier here. We also have reprinted several of the e-mails from his dissatisfied bridal customers below. (We've omitted names of the senders.) The operation is named:

I ran across the Vendor Watch List you posted on your website and decided to contact you.

My husband and I were married about a year and a half ago, in the Spring of 2002 at the Pratt Mansion in NYC, and we were very unfortunate to have hired Cyntex NYC Photographers to produce both our photo album and video. They came highly recommended by the host of Pratt Mansion.

Since then, as you can guess, we've spent a lot of time trying to chase down Cyntex (Bruce, the owner) to get our video and album from them. We succeeded in receiving the album about 4 months ago [over 12 months since their wedding] by mail, but still no luck with the video.

My husband and I have been leaving countless voice messages on Cyntex's answering service, (212) 679-6342. I also visited their location at 18 West 41st Street (or 43rd, not sure now), but they moved without a forwarding address.

Please advise if you have any information at all as to where they are presently located, and if you have any advice in getting our video from them. They also have our childhood pictures they took for the video, and we have no duplicates of those.

Also, it's great that you have this feature on your website about alerting couples about these types of businesses, because we've trusted our lifetime event memories to these unreliable people, and now we don't even know if we'll ever be able to get it from them, not even to mention the payment we made in full.

Dear Editor:

I recently noted on your Vendor Watch List the name of the photographer that my wife and I had take our wedding photos in November 2002.

Unfortunately, we did not see your website prior to selecting this photographer. In spite of the fact that this company was listed in New York Magazine's NYC wedding edition, we have been experiencing many of the problems that you have outlined.

We have yet to receive our wedding photos that were promised us in April 2003. [This e-mail was received 6 months after that date.]

The emails and voice messages have been constantly ignored by this vendor. Would you have any suggestions on how to handle this unfortunate situation? Would you know what others who have been in this situation with this particular vendor have done?

It is unfortunate that this has to taint the memories of such an important day in our lives.

I would appreciate any advice which you could provide for me.
