"For my birthday in October, Mike took me to the eastern end of Long Island to go pumpkin picking and visit some wineries. We headed out, first picking up my parents who would be joining us for the day. Tired from picking pumpkins all day, we decided not to visit the winery, and instead returned home. When we got back to the house, Mike asked me to come out to the backyard. When I got outside he was down on one knee asking me to marry him.

"Andrew Zecher, our event planner at Woodbury Country Club, gave us the most elegant and beautiful wedding, including helping us customize our menu for each guest’s cultural, religious, and dietary needs.

"We wanted a fall wedding. The Woodbury Country Club was the only place that could make our wedding reception unforgettable. It’s located on 18 acres, has beautiful fountains, and its 'Wall of Windows' offers spectacular views of the gardens.

"The cocktail hour was extraordinary. We had a jazz band set up on a platform in the center of the room, and they were surrounded by our raw bar which included, lobster tails, shrimp, oysters and clams, as well as a captain station. We also had several different ice sculptures. One even included a photo of us.

"Our reception room was breathtaking. Each table had tall centerpieces with branches, colorful flowers, and fall leaves. It was just what we had imagined. Our dinner choices were shell steak, chicken madeira, stuffed veal chop, and salmon. Our final course was a delicious sour cream cake with a raspberry and chocolate filling.

"My favorite part of the reception was when our guests were escorted to the lower level reception room for our “'After Hours Masquerade Ball.' The room was decorated with candlelit pumpkins, bright fabrics, and fall flowers. We also had lounge furniture brought in for our guests to sit on. During this time we had a chocolate dipping fountain with assorted fresh fruits and treats, cookies, and Italian pastries. There were also different dessert stations, where the staff all had on masks.

"Andrew and his staff were the most professional people to work with, and we are happy to thank them for a once-in-a-lifetime fairy tale event."
