Real Wedding: The Pleasantdale Château
High School Sweethearts
(Reunited Seven Years Later)

"We first met at David’s third birthday party, but had no idea we would be sharing birthdays together forever. We started dating in high school, but as frequently happens with high school romances, our ended after one short week.

"Seven years later while we were both enjoying a summer weekend in Margate, NJ, David was walking out of the same bar I was walking into and he immediately altered his plans, realizing there was no turning back this time.

"I had met my prince charming and now dreamed of a storybook wedding in a fairy-tale setting.

"The Pleasantdale Château was the ideal venue with its breathtaking grounds, eclectic decor and extraordinary staff.

"After the magical outdoor ceremony in the gardens at sunset, we planned a two hour cocktail party with over 40 kinds of hors d’oeuvres, including a mashed potato bar, martini bar and raw bar.

"Next, our guests were welcomed into the ballroom where they also enjoyed a plated sampler of chocolate delectables instead of a formal dinner after my father’s speech ended with, 'Life is short, eat dessert first.'

"To conclude the evening: a plated midnight breakfast, featuring a warm lobster salad in a toast point basket, a homemade Belgian waffle with fresh whipped cream, a mini bagel with cream cheese and lox and heart-shaped muffins in baskets around the table. Wedding cake and make-your-own sundaes ended the evening.

"It was the most flawless, fairy-tale wedding imaginable, made possible by Nat Nugent and his staff at Pleasantdale Château and their attention to every detail and concern that our every wish be fulfilled."
