First Kiss Entertainment
“There is one overriding question when choosing your band,” says Anthony Tabish of First Kiss Entertainment. “Is the band you hire actually going to be the one that shows up? We only have one band, and our reputation has been built on the quality of the entertainment performed by the band we call First Kiss.”

Founded in 1978, this band’s popularity has been built on the skill and professionalism of the band members, who have worked with such musical stars as Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Diana Ross, and Dave Mason.
“We did a wedding at Terrace in the Park, and the bride’s father was making the arrangements,” says Anthony. “Though he was demanding, he was always clear. He challenged us, and trusted me to deliver what he wanted.
“He initially engaged our nine-piece orchestra, but as time went on he and his daughter wanted to include some very specific types of music. He loved Billy Holiday and I responded with a trio featuring a vocalist for the cocktail reception. The bride told me she remembered dancing to reggae every night during her summers on the shore, so I called in our steel drum ensemble. The bride’s mother adored Broadway hits, which gave our vocalist, Deborah, and myself a chance to wow the guests at dinner time.”

For the ceremony, Anthony encourages you to chose from a wide variety of music and instruments. “Your ceremony reflects the uniqueness of your relationship with your spouse-to-be. Let the music be an extension of what makes your love for each other special. As music director for a large parish in New Jersey, I am in a good position to offer an entire spectrum of musical options.”
You can choose a keyboardist or a harpist, an ensemble built on either of those instruments, a guitar and flute duo, a string ensemble, or even a brass quartet or quintet.

“Music for your cocktail reception is strictly for atmosphere. It can be performed by a classical guitarist, a pianist or keyboard player, a small ensemble of guitar and flute, or even to a small string ensemble. Groups of strolling musicians performing in costume or a dixieland band can also add an element of fun without becoming obtrusive.”
For your reception, instead of choosing songs from a list, Anthony likes to find out your musical tastes. “What are your favorite songs? We’ll make sure they are in our repertoire.”
“The bride and groom should never be afraid to ask for anything they might want. Your wedding professionals should be able to accommodate almost any type of request, or should be brave enough to suggest an alternative approach.
“We let the bride and groom shine. Your tastes and personalities are reflected in our presentation.Tell us your dream and watch our talent, experience, professionalism, and attitude make your reception come alive exactly the way you want it to.”
