Garden Bride Beauty Looks

“Everybody has a feature they love and feel really good about,” says Meryl Schwartz of Ashimoto Essential Beauty at Dolce Viso Salon. “I find out what that is and bring it out. It’s also important to realize that you need a little bit more for the camera. ”

A Romantic Look.

“The dress was very romantic and flowing, accented by the soft colors in the flowers. Inspired by that, the makeup was also soft and romantic, with a little more structure in the brow. The hair was very flowing, complementing the look of elegant simplicity and its romantic feel. We used Ashimoto lipstick in Pink Sheer with Mocha Berry gloss, Anastasia products for the eyebrow, Tarte neutral palette for the eyes, MAC Peachy blush, and ERA airbrush foundation.” (Gown: Jennifer Black of Tulle NY, Suki, $1,800)

Meryl & Cristina’s Bridal Beauty Tips:

Powder Up ... “Touch up shine with a translucent powder. When you’re nervous the body temperature rises and you perspire, which can make a colored powder start to look dirty.”

Lips! ... “Fill your lip in with lip liner. Liner is made with wax so if you’re eating and drinking that base still remains on your lips.”

Highlights ... “It’s important where highlight is placed. To avoid a white cast, the center of the face should always be flat and not too shiny.”

Elegant & Ornate.

“The headpiece was so magnificent, I had to take the colors from this wreath. I went with a vibrant red lip and brightened up the cheeks, while going softer on the eyes. I wanted to make the lips the focus. We wanted to keep the hair simple because the hairpiece was more ornate.” (Gown:  Jennifer Black of Tulle NY, Karlie, $1,925)

Golden Glamour.

“Here we are going for more of a smoky eye, done in Tarte plums, with cheeks by Trish McEvoy and lips in Brilliant Red by Ashimoto. I kept her bronzy and glowing to give her an ethereal look.” Hair styling is, “timeless, elegant, and understated, accented with a headpiece by Ashimoto.” (Gown:  Jennifer Black of Tulle NY, Sparrow, $1,900)
