We were married at the church in the town where I grew up. Walking down the aisle with my dad and then seeing Joey’s face as I walked through the doors was truly indescribable. Cocktail hour at Falkirk had everything you could possibly think of. Butlers passed hors d’oeuvres such as risotto croquettes, spinach and feta spanakopita, baby lamb chops, and more.
We had all kinds of food stations: a “Peter Luger” steak station, a New York style deli cart, and even a shrimp and crab cold seafood bar on an ice sculpture. The indoor/outdoor set up was so convenient. When it began to rain, guests could look through the windows and see the beautiful double rainbow outside arching over the gorgeous grounds.
Beautiful gold lanterns illuminated the stunning ballroom. The lanterns, paired with our gorgeous centerpieces of greenery, succulents, and white flowers, created a very romantic atmosphere. With a final headcount of 300 people, the space was large enough to fit everyone comfortably eating, drinking, and dancing throughout the night.
Dinner began with a duet course of buffalo mozzarella and beefsteak tomato and an intermezzo lemon sorbet. For the main entrée, guests could choose from chateaubriand with red wine demi-glace, Chilean sea bass, or French-cut chicken stuffed with spinach and Asiago. For dessert, we served our wedding cake along with dessert towers of cannolis, chocolate-covered strawberries, tiramisu, and more.
