"Seamless, Meticulous & Professional"
Will and I met junior year at Quinnipiac University and we soon became close friends. I went abroad for the second semester and we realized how much we missed each other. When I came home, we started dating. After college, I moved to Boston for my first job and Will eventually followed. He now works as a principal systems analyst. One night after a long flight home from a conference Will took me for dinner and dessert at two of my favorite places, Quattro and Mike’s Pastries. He went outside to answer a call while leaving me to pay, and when I walked out, I saw someone holding his phone, videotaping. He proposed in the rain on the sidewalk with everyone crowding around us.
The second we walked into Trump National Golf Club we were blown away by the property. Christy McGill Glovaski, the director of catering and sales, was so professional, patient, and helpful with her suggestions. We knew we would be in the best hands. She helped us with everything from showing us the venue to the actual wedding. Nothing else matched up to the venue’s standards. The entire staff truly displayed an attention to detail and a level of attentiveness that rendered us, and our guests, stress-free.
Our ceremony was on the terrace that overlooks Briarcliff. My vision came true with a picturesque sunset as the setting to our vows. We did a first look so we could enjoy our cocktail hour and used the entire property for our photos. They have a beautiful clock tower, a beautiful bridge, a fountain, and a giant waterfall that lends different colors and textures to your background.
Cocktail hour was hosted in a beautiful room with floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests could walk out onto the patio overlooking the golf course. We used purple calla lilies to adorn our card table and cocktail tables and had a Jewish-style deli station that everyone loved! Some hors d’oeuvres we served were fried mac ‘n’ cheese balls, lobster toast squares, and chicken and waffle cones. I am a mini-hot dog aficionado and the ones served by Trump National Golf Club were my favorite ever.
For our reception, we used round and rectangle tables. The new chandeliers and large windows let in a romantic glow. We didn’t want uplighting to spoil this already beautiful effect. Our round table centerpieces were high flowers with a candle motif around their base. The rectangular tables had a mirrored runner with flowers and candles resting on top to create an effect of endless flowers. The Caesar salad appetizer, served in a parmesan basket, was very well done. Our guests loved the presentation and the taste! For entrées, we offered pan-seared branzino, beef short rib, or mushroom ravioli.
Our dessert was a chocolate tulip cup with raspberry sorbet followed by our wedding cake. Chicken fingers and French fries were served as a late-night snack. Our dance floor was the perfect size, but we made sure our guests had additional entertainment. We set up a cigar bar and cocktail bar featuring craft cocktail bartenders in the amazing rotunda room off the ballroom, offering plenty of room for guests. We ended the night with a fireworks show on the patio overlooking the golf course.
We would like to thank the Berkoff family for hosting our wedding and ensuring our day was everything we could have asked for. We would also like to thank the Wall family for hosting our pre and post wedding celebrations that made the weekend extra memorable. Thank you to Christy and everyone else at Trump National Golf Club. You were all such a pleasure to work with and ensured that our day was perfect from beginning to end. Thank you to my florist, who did an amazing job creating our vision. We’ll always remember our wedding as the best night of our lives!
