When we started looking at venues, we focused on Landmark’s locations. Hudson House, being very close to where we live and work, was always significant to us. When we went for the tour, they were still under construction, but even while wearing hard hats, we got an electric feeling. We could see the grandiose open floor plan, the tall ceilings, and the spectacular view of the skyline. Standing at the windows looking at the Freedom Tower, the Statue of Liberty, and over the Hudson River felt meaningful and just right.
When planning our wedding, we loved that we would have the place all to ourselves. There were so many gorgeous options for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and the neutral palette served to emphasize the New York views. We worked with Jeanne Cretella, the president of Landmark Hospitality, and her years of experience made her incredible to work with. She put us at ease, guided us through decisions, and in the end, felt like family. She was amazing throughout the entire process.
Our ceremony was in the main ballroom, in front of the tall windows overlooking the Hudson River. We timed it so the sun was setting behind us and golden light was reflecting off the water and the buildings. Cocktail hour was on another floor. Everyone loved the stunning view, the food, and the terrace. The stations, like the Himalayan salt station with meats cooked on exotic pink Himalayan salt blocks, had foods that looked as impressive as they tasted.
