Our ceremony was in my childhood church, Saint Luke Parish in Long Valley, NJ. They provided beautiful music and having our family and friends there to support us and celebrate meant the world. After we went to Jardin de Buis to take photos, where we were able to take advantage of the beautiful greenhouse and grounds. We got amazing family portraits and photos of the two of us that really captured our rustic theme.
Everything at our cocktail hour was amazing! The Westin Governor Morris was even able to provide a suckling pig in honor of the day we first met. Our guests raved about the plethora of delicious options at the cocktail hour. We chose hors d’oeuvres such as tuna poke wasabi on a wonton crisp, scallops wrapped in bacon, asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, and attendant serving stations like “The Jersey Shore,” which had flatbreads, sliders, and mini hot dogs.
Particular favorites were the raw bar and the carving station with steamship beef. Brian and I follow gluten-free diets and Julie and the chef at The Westin were able to provide multiple options for us to choose from.
