The Grand Ballroom has 35-foot ceilings with exposed woodwork and brand new beautiful white marble floors. The floor-to-ceiling windows facing the New York skyline make it a beautiful and unique space for a wedding. We chose oval-shaped tables for our guests, with white tablecloths, gold accent pieces, and simple low white floral arrangements for our centerpieces. Simple string lights hanging from the ceiling added to the warm ambiance.
Dinner started with a delicious salad of spinach, roasted pears, dried apricots, toasted almonds, goat cheese, and champagne vinaigrette. For entrées, guests selected grilled filet mignon or pan-seared Chatham cod, each with decadent sides. The venue was extremely accommodating to guests who had food allergies or restrictions. The filets were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. We chose a beautiful but simple four-tier cake with white icing and inside layers alternating between chocolate mousse and dulce de leche. Our florist added a few flowers to give it a rustic look. Guests were also given a selection of desserts at each table.
Both Abraam and I would like to thank my father and mother, Richard Knott and JoAnn Brady, for all their help, physically, emotionally, and financially. We also want to thank his parents, Alfy and Mary Meleika, for all their contributions. A huge thank you goes to Danielle Villa and the staff at Liberty House for such a perfect evening of love, food, fun, and celebration. We also want to thank all our vendors. Kait Peña was absolutely amazing and captured every special moment in beautiful photographs. Ashley Raibick and her crew, along with Lorena Ferreira and her assistant, had the bride and bridal party looking flawless. We want to thank our bridal party for all the effort they put in to make it a special time for us. A special shoutout to our guests as well for making time to attend our wedding.
