THE GRAIN HOUSE | Basking Ridge, NJ

0

Overview

Rustic and intimate, The Grain House features rolling lawns with gardens and a picturesque gazebo that sits next to a stream running through the property. The building was originally constructed in 1768 and local history states that it was used to store the grain for George Washington’s Revolutionary Army.

The Hunt Room is warmly decorated with rich woods and has a  large stone fireplace. There is a glass wall leading out to a seasonally tented patio and a private entrance on a cobblestone path. Outdoor weddings may be held under the tent or at the flower adorned gazebo next to the stream.

(Wheelchair accessibility is limited. Since the building was constructed in 1768, it was not designed to be handicapped accessible. However, we can make accommodations in some areas using ramps, but there is no elevator from the lower level to the upper levels, and not all bathrooms are handicapped accessible.)
